Ocularity

This is an experiment. It measures how humans see colour. More specifically it measures what colours humans can distinguish. I have written a blog post about it.

What you do

When you click "Start the experiment" below, you will be shown two images. The images will be the same apart from their colours. Your task is to click on the one in which you can see the details more clearly.

Each time you answer, you will be shown two more images. We hope you will keep answering for at least 3 minutes (about a hundred answers). You can stop the experiment at any time by closing the browser window.

Implicit information

Please note that we will also track your session and record the date and time when you answer the questions. This information will be used to group answers that come from you and to see how you approached the experiment (e.g. whether you were interrupted). It will also be used to filter out unconstructive behaviour, e.g. answers from bots.
